4. OUR LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
Depending on the circumstances, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
Contract and pre-contractual steps
We process information where it is necessary to respond to your request, make or manage a booking, provide a treatment, process a payment or otherwise fulfil our agreement with you.
Consent
We rely on consent where required, including for certain marketing communications and non-essential cookies and tracking technologies.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time.
Legal obligations
We may process and retain information where required to comply with applicable tax, accounting, regulatory or other legal obligations.
Legitimate interests
We may process information where necessary for legitimate business purposes, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
These may include website and business security, responding to customer enquiries, preventing fraud and establishing or defending legal claims.

5. BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS
Our website and online booking system are provided using Wix.
When you make a booking, information necessary to manage your appointment is processed through Wix and HoriZen's booking system.
Online payments are processed using Stripe.
Payment providers may process payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable financial and data-protection requirements.
HoriZen does not require customers to create a website account or customer profile in order to use the website.

6. EMAIL MARKETING
HoriZen uses Wix to manage email marketing.
If you have specifically asked or consented to receive HoriZen news, offers and promotions, we may use your name and email address to send these communications.
We may also send marketing about HoriZen's own similar products or services to existing customers where this is permitted under applicable Spanish law.
Spanish LSSI-CE generally prohibits unsolicited promotional emails unless they were requested or authorised, subject to the existing-customer exception for HoriZen's own similar services. Recipients must be given a simple and free method of opting out.
Every marketing email we send will provide an easy way to unsubscribe.
You can also withdraw your marketing consent at any time by contacting:
Withdrawing from marketing will not prevent us from sending essential communications relating to an existing booking, purchase or other service you have requested.

7. META LEAD ADS AND PROMOTIONAL FORMS
HoriZen may use Facebook and Instagram Lead Ads operated by Meta to allow people to request offers, vouchers or information.
For example, if you complete a form to claim a €10 HoriZen Welcome Voucher, we will use the information you provide to administer and deliver that promotion.
Where we also ask whether you would like to receive HoriZen news, special offers and promotions by email, marketing consent is requested separately.
You are not required to agree to optional email marketing simply to exercise your data-protection rights.
Where you consent to marketing, your contact information may be added to our Wix email marketing database.
You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

8. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
HoriZen uses cookies and similar technologies on horizen.life.
We use Usercentrics to manage cookie consent and preferences.
Cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to operate may be used without consent where permitted by law.
Non-essential cookies and technologies, including advertising or tracking technologies, are only activated where the required consent has been obtained.
Visitors can accept non-essential cookies, reject them or manage their preferences through the cookie consent system.
You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences using the cookie settings available on our website.

9. META PIXEL
With your consent where required, HoriZen uses Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, to help us understand the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram advertising.
Meta Pixel may collect information about interactions with our website, such as pages visited or actions taken, together with technical identifiers.
This information can be used to measure advertising performance and, depending on your consent and Meta settings, support relevant advertising.
Meta Pixel is treated as a non-essential marketing technology and is subject to the cookie consent choices available through Usercentrics.

10. CCTV AND SECURITY
HoriZen uses CCTV solely for the security and protection of our premises, property, installations and persons.
CCTV is not used for marketing purposes or to monitor clients during treatments.
Cameras are positioned only where necessary for security purposes, and access to recordings is restricted to authorised persons.
CCTV images are retained only for as long as necessary and, in any event, no longer than the maximum period permitted by applicable Spanish law, which is generally one month from the date of recording.
Where footage needs to be preserved as evidence of an incident affecting persons, property or installations, it may be retained for the period necessary to provide it to the competent authorities or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Appropriate CCTV notices are displayed in areas subject to video surveillance.

11. WHO MAY RECEIVE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

12. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Some of the technology providers used by HoriZen may process personal data outside Spain or the European Economic Area.
Where personal data are transferred internationally, we require an appropriate legal mechanism to be available in accordance with GDPR requirements.
Depending on the provider and destination, this may include an applicable European Commission adequacy decision, approved Standard Contractual Clauses or another legally recognised transfer mechanism.

13. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP PERSONAL DATA?
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, tax, accounting and claims requirements.
Enquiries that do not result in a customer relationship will normally be retained for up to 12 months after the last meaningful communication, unless there is a legitimate reason to retain them for a different period.
Booking, customer and transaction records may be retained for the duration of the customer relationship and afterwards for the period necessary to comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting and claims obligations.
Marketing information is retained while you remain subscribed or until it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected.
If you unsubscribe, we may retain minimal information on a suppression list to ensure we respect your request not to receive further marketing.
CCTV recordings are handled as described in the CCTV section above.
Cookie-consent records may be retained for the period necessary to demonstrate and respect your consent choices.
When personal information is no longer required, it will be deleted, anonymised or otherwise securely disposed of.

-
Restrict processing in certain circumstances.

-
Withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on your consent.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

HoriZen takes appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or destruction.
Access to personal information is restricted to people who require it for legitimate business purposes.
However, no internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

17. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services.
